About the Crop Insurance Underwriter Role
The Climate Corporation is searching for organized individuals with high-integrity, and excellent customer service and communication skills who thrive on solving problems in a self-managing environment with strong team support. Successful candidates will possess 2+ years of crop insurance underwriting experience.

Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of crop insurance policy and procedural updates

Respond to incoming calls from agents and field staff on technical or procedural questions that could be complex in nature

Ability to research policy issues and/or questions

Work independently with RMA Regional Office to submit and process policyholder RMA exception requests

Review, process, and audit documents and supporting records associated with the MPCI, Hail and Named Peril insurance

Participate in the development and delivery of crop insurance policy and procedure training to Climate Corporation team members and agents.

Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record

2+ years crop insurance underwriting experience

Organized and detail-oriented individual with ability to multi-task, maintain accuracy of information, and meet deadlines with little supervision

Excellent communication skills with a passion for customer interactions and service and the ability to explain concepts in a clear, easy to absorb manner

Proficient computer and internet skills

Knowledge of production agriculture

Travel up to 25% with some overnights
