MRC offers a wide range of internship opportunities for students interested in careers in business administration, sales and marketing, human resources, IT or the Customer Service field.
Our internship program provides students the unique rotational opportunity to develop practical skills through hands-on assignments working with talented professionals who are willing to share their knowledge. Students have the opportunity to focus on a department of their choice, as well as have an opportunity to rotate through the following departments:
Customer Service (SD):
Interns will assist in the customer service area with projects including client contact. Interns will also go out in the field with the service technicians and assist with client relations as well as any technical assistance the tech needs in fixing the machines. Intern may also work with the trainers and account managers in assisting with client request and training. In addition, intern will be asked to rotate through the shipping department in order to understand parts and inventory - supply chain management.
The individual must be familiar with MS Excel and have the ability to learn computer programs quickly. Interns will help with processing Accounts Payable, making follow up phone calls in regards to Accounts Receivable, assisting with accounting analysis, and other ad hoc projects. Interns will be exposed to various finance programs and gain a holistic view of the accounting/ finance department. Intern may also assist the operations team and learn the process of financing an order through a lease.
Human Resources / Training (SD):
Will help the HR Generalist with employee communications, the rotational intern program, staffing and maintaining monthly reports. Intern will also assist with special projects including some employee event planning, researching specific circumstances and understanding the complexities of California employment law. The intern will also complete a full recruitment cycle for the next class of interns. This will include creating and setting up job posting, sourcing, interviewing, scheduling, gathering appropriate documentation including sign off from the college, and finally, recommending new candidates for the internship program. Interns will gain a holistic view of the HR processes by using hands-on experience of projects. The intern will also rotate through the training department and assist them with any special projects or planned trainings and learn about organizational and personal development.
Sales/Marketing (SD, OC, LA, OAK, SV, SF and LIV):
Interns will accompany our sales professionals in the field, learn basic prospecting techniques over the phone, assist in the creation of sales presentation materials, attend sales meetings, and conduct research for a potential client. Will learn to navigate our sales database and input competitive information. In addition, interns may be called on to assist in telemarketing sales which will include client contact and learning the sales process and cycle. In addition, intern will assist Marketing manager with special project including event planning, producing marketing sales analysis, ordering material, and other needs as required.
Information Technology (SD):
Interns will work hands on with IT equipment and learn skills in network engineering, document solutions engineering, and general IT activities. Applicants should be familiar with Microsoft Operating Systems, MS Office applications, basic TCP/IP Networking, and Networking components. Interns will work with various departments and may be asked to assist in the marketing department with data analysis.

Currently enrolled at an accredited college, university or technical school
Internships are unpaid, therefore, students must earn college credit
Ability to work a minimum of 10-15 hours/week during the academic year
Must be a sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student
