This is a contract to hire opportunity.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day schedules and performance of database staff to support the objectives of all customer segments (including remote/offshore/contracted resources as necessary).
Provide technical leadership to the DBA team by sharing knowledge and research of tools/techniques and features, and providing coaching as needed to develop each resource.
Serve as a team liaison to project managers for database administration.
Lead and coordinate technical support for organization partner technologies.
Define and create management tools to report DBA team progress; and coordinate and communicate customer and system issues within the company.
Ensure policies and procedures are followed to insure organization is compliant with HIPAA and other privacy / security requirements.
Provide support for all Database environments to include problem identification, reporting, tracking, analysis and resolution.
Support database environments to include problem identification, reporting, tracking, analysis, and resolution. Research and analyze all assigned anomalies, including recording and tracking findings and recommendations.
Manage and coordinate ETL processes and tasks.
Monitor database performance and space utilization, and investigate and resolve reported issues.
Establish, maintain and monitor database back-ups, database security, roles, user-role assignments, and individual logins per company security policies and procedures.
Assist project teams in setting-up and testing development, testing, and production environments
Research, analyze, and recommend patches, tools, and/or database upgrades to resolve issues and add features and functionality.
Architect, design, implement and maintain replication and/or data synchronization for applications.
Assist project teams in designing efficient data access methods and procedures including data structures (physical data modeling), SQL techniques, and use of database tools/utilities.
The work is performed in a business office with regulated air conditioning and heat, and free from industrial chemicals, airborne particulates, noise and machinery.
