DESCRIPTION

Gyrodata is looking for a MWD Process Engineer to increase performance and reliability of new and existing Measurement While Drilling (MWD) tools by evaluating, improving, documenting and implementing repair and maintenance processes, procedures and databases

DUTIES

Duties / Essential Functions

  • Continuously monitor and assess the repair and maintenance processes, procedures, and database in order to increase MWD product line reliability
  • Evaluate and document all existing MWD repair and maintenance procedures effectiveness and modify as needed based on technical evaluation and MWD reliability data
  • Document and implement new repair and maintenance procedures for each new MWD tool
  • Train the MWD technicians, including in-shop process training, on all MWD repair and maintenance procedures
  • Liaise with MWD Product Manager, MWD R&M Manager and MWD Technical Services Manager regarding MWD tool issues and procedural modifications
  • Participate in weekly failure analysis meetings
  • Assist MWD Technical Services in establishing Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) program
  • Assist in setting acceptable tolerances in measurements and readings taken by technicians for each MWD tool
  • Review performed-service paper work for MWD tool compliance
  • Audit repair and maintenance database for accuracy based on checklists and find outliers to prematurely identify failures
  • Travel to client jobsites when necessary
  • Comply with all applicable client safety and training requirements and provide corresponding documentation, such as Jobsite Awareness Forms
  • Comply with Gyrodata, Inc. Driving Policy
  • Submit to and comply with all applicable client pre-employment screening and qualifications including audiograms, physicals and drug testing
  • Comply with applicable safety standards and maintain a safe working environment
  • Comply with applicable quality assurance standards
QUALIFICATIONS

Education / Requirements

  • Strong written and oral English communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited 4 years college or university and 1 year MWD field experience; or Associate's Degree and 2 years MWD field experience
  • Experience with electrical diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to use a computer for accessing and sending e-mail, opening and revising documents, accessing internet and web-based Gyrodata, Inc. systems, including SharePoint, Agresso and ability to use Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred

  • Experience documenting engineering and/or repair and maintenance processes, manuals or procedures Duties / Essential Functions
