Position Summary:

Incumbent is responsible for running a stick wrapping overwrap line, from start to finish. They will be responsible for the machinery that wraps the displays, seals displays, and packs the displays into their shippers. Incumbent will be required to learn the skills necessary to keep the line running. The incumbent will be required to follow all safety and quality standards as well as support the factory's continuous improvement efforts. The department, including the incumbent, is responsible for meeting OEE as well as volume targets.

Major Responsibilities:

Following all safety procedures and work safely at all times to ensure the safety of themselves and the rest of the team. Such safety programs include, but are not limited to, strict adherence to the Lock Out Tag Out policies, proper PPE, and monthly safety meetings. (25%)

Performing all necessary Quality checks, at the specified intervals, to ensure that only quality products are being made. Other quality responsibilities include making sure that packaging materials are in good shape, proper materials are used and Good Manufacturing Practices are always followed. Proper documentation and accurate paperwork is essential. (25%)

Following standard operating procedures while running all equipment associated with the stick wrapping line in order to meet the OEE and volume targets. This is done by keeping machinery supplied with materials as well as efficiently clearing jams in order to reduce downtime. Proper and efficient changeovers are also a key responsibility of the incumbent. Communication skills are essential for helping the department and line work at an optimal level. (20%)

Supporting the factory efforts in both Lean and Continuous Improvement activities by participating in meetings, identifying improvement opportunities, and recommending solutions to improve factory metrics. These metrics include OEE and Manufacturing Schedule Adherence. (10%)

Proper documentation and accurate completion of all necessary production paperwork. (10%)

Incumbent's Team Leader may require specific assignments or tasks for some operators away from their designated job. Duties may be, but are not limited to Lean or Continuous Improvement activities that will improve productivity and product flow, improve 5S or OEE within the wrapping areas. (10%)


Minimum: Grade 12 or HS Diploma, or equivalent

Preferred: Associates Degree, or higher, in an engineering or manufacturing related discipline.

Related Experience/Requirements:

1 year of relevant technical experience

Preferred: 3 or more years experience in a highly automated manufacturing environment, and experience on more than one type of automated line (bottling, bagging, wrapping, etc..).


Minimum: Communication skills, leadership skills, basic math skills, computer skills, and problem solving / trouble shooting skills.

Preferred: Strong leadership, communication, math, computer, and problem solving / trouble shooting skills. Forklift experience a plus.
