The Dothan Eagle is seeking an individual who wants to make a change, invest in a career, and join a wonderful team. We have available a full time night shift operator position. Our equipment consists of an inserter, stackers, strappers, and bottom wrapper. We are seeking individuals capable of learning setup, operation, and maintenance of our packaging equipment. Meeting company guidelines producing high quality products within deadlines are a must. This position requires a strong mechanical background or production line operation experience. Good verbal and written communication. Ability to manage time. Basic Math skills. Ability to work under pressure. Must be able to follow directional instructions either written or oral. Must be fluent in the English language. Must be able to deal with the public. Must be able to handle multiple tasks concurrently. Must be computer literate. Ability to operate and maintain all Packaging / Dock equipment covering any configuration and be available to operate equipment at short notice. Verification of all inserts and responsible for correct insertions. Position requires employee must have minimal working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and air systems and be able to perform repairs as required focusing on preventative maintenance. Provide knowledge and training to employees within department with implementation of quality procedural techniques and changes when needed. Maintain clean and safe work environment. Communicating with external and internal customers providing the highest level of quality and services available. Must fully comply with all company policies and procedures and at all times when representing the company, operate in a thorough professional manner including communication, attendance, punctuality, and dress.
At least one year production line equipment operation and maintenance.
