Processes and distributes all receivables and distributing to recipients’ locations in an accurate and timely manner. Processes all incoming, outgoing, domestic and international mail including: delivery and pick-up of mail items on scheduled and non-scheduled runs.
Duties & Responsibilities
Assist in the shipping and receiving of goods to/from the U.S. Olympic Sport House. Deliver the goods to the appropriate office as appropriate.
As needed, electronically scan in all accountable letters and packages delivered to the U.S. Olympic Sport House and receive them into the USOC computerized accounting system.
Process all outgoing domestic and international letters and/or parcels via a carrier other than USPS. This includes but is not limited to determining the most cost effective service, weighing, insuring and affixing computer-generated shipping labels using a computerized shipping system.
Distribute all incoming receivable goods after preparing the appropriate delivery documentation. Properly pack all outgoing shipments, prepare necessary shipping documents and ship to designated consignee.
Accurately input complete and timely receipts of goods entries in the financial application system.
Assist USOC and NGB staff and athletes with personal mailing needs. Advise customers of current domestic and international mail regulations. Provide courteous and effective customer service to all clients.
Prepare and file all necessary damaged or lost claims paperwork for all customers using USOC Central Shipping & Receiving services. Process refund checks through the USOC accounting system.
Organize and maintain the USOC Central Shipping & Receiving warehouse according to established warehousing systems.
Physically unload shipments and transfer USOC supplies to and from assigned storage areas.
Perform some and/or all of the following duties related to shipping/receiving: a) verify type of freight bills; b) verify freight costs and discounts; c) prepare bill of lading; d) track all undelivered shipments from the USOC Complex.
As directed by the team leader, obtain quotes from shippers in order to obtain quality carriers, on-time delivery & best possible rates for the USOC & NGBs.
Package each mailing according to U.S. Postal Service regulations and complete all appropriate USPS forms.
Collect, receive, sort and distribute U.S. mail as scheduled by the Team Leader.
Process all outgoing U.S. and international mail including weighing, determining and affixing postage using an electronic mailing system. Return all incomplete and/or incorrect addressed communication to sender.
Prepare work areas and equipment for daily operations. Including but not limited to cleaning equipment and work areas, starting and testing equipment.
Deliver copier and fax supplies as requested.
Minimum Qualifications Required
High school graduate or equivalent
Licensure & Certification:
Certified experience with forklift and pallet jack
Valid Colorado driver’s license
2-3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehousing, and/or inventory control
1-2 years of experience with a computerized accounting system
Ability to lift 70 pounds

This is a physical, fast-paced position that involves continual lifting, lowering, and sliding of packages that may weigh up to 90 lbs.
