The purpose of this position is to perform all aspects of mail handling, including, sorting and distributing all interoffice mail and incoming and outgoing U. S. mail. Wrapping packages and maintaining mail and shipping supplies. Maintaining postage supplies and records and making special deliveries. The position is responsible for processing and distributing mail to and from various locations of the NTTA. Other duties include completing related projects as assigned.
Provides administrative support by handling and processing interoffice mail, incoming U.S. mail, outgoing U.S. mail and special deliveries. Processing includes pick-up, sorting and delivery to NTTA facilities and non-NTTA facilities.
Maintains accurate mail records and files and adequate supply of U.S. mail, interoffice mail and shipping supplies.
Organizes and schedules mail pick-up to meet scheduled timelines. Insures timely and accurate delivery to appropriate location as scheduled.
Maintains an appropriate level of postage in the postage meter. Applies appropriate postage for selected mail service and/or verifies the correct postage has been applied.
Operates and drives a NTTA vehicle in the distribution of mail and supplies
Work requires knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, or office processes. Level of knowledge equivalent to four years of high school or equivalency.

Basic: Work requires the use of standard technical skills appropriate to the work environment of the organization.
Intermediate - Ability to read papers, periodicals, journals, manuals, dictionaries, thesauruses, and encyclopedias. Ordinarily, such education is obtained in high school up to college. However, it may be obtained from experience and self-study.
Intermediate - Ability to deal with system of real numbers; practical application of fractions, percentages, ratios/proportions and measurement. Ordinarily, such education is obtained in high school up to college. However, it may be obtained from experience and self-study.
Intermediate - Ability to write reports, prepare business letters, expositions, and summaries with proper format, punctuation, spelling, and grammar, using all parts of speech. Ordinarily, such education is obtained in high school up to college. However, it may be obtained from experience and self-study.
