Accuracy, speed and attendance are essential for this fast paced position. Computer knowledge helpful. Need to be able to focus and sit long periods. Some positions may require standing for long periods of time, bending, reaching and the physical ability to lift mail tubs weighing approx 15-20lbs. Good numerical ability to make sure all documents are accounted for.
Normal working hours are Monday through Friday 7:00am 3:30pm with a half-hour unpaid lunch. During high volume weeks daily overtime may be called and the extra hours may be worked prior to 7am or after 3:30pm depending on volumes received. There is a chance that mandatory hours can be called for a Saturday.
Will be placed in 1 or more of these 3 main positions:
Slitter position: Should be able to walk short distances, stand for long periods of time, bend, reach and must have the physical ability to lift mail tubs weighing approximately 15 to 20 pounds. Hands-on operation, put envelopes in position, run them through a mail opening machines, removing mail from envelopes. Good numerical ability and some skills working with a PC.
Mailroom processor: Responsible for quickly organizing multiple mail documents, extraction of documents and prepare documents for image processing. Candidates will work in a fast paced environment and need to verify information quickly. Be able to sit for long periods of time. Computer knowledge helpful. Accuracy and speed are essential for this position.
Mailroom QC (quality control) processor: Responsible for quickly flipping documents page by page to insure all documents are accounted for. Accuracy and speed are essential for this position. Be able to sit for long periods of time and total focus. Computer knowledge helpful.
