Scitor Corporation has an opportunity for an experienced Systems Engineer to support the System Engineering and Integration Division. The successful candidate will have familiarity with specific spacecraft and adjunct payload systems and support the Maintenance and Engineering branch. Activities leverage upon an understanding of bus hardware, adjunct payload hardware, command and telemetry architecture, health and safety management and attitude control subsystem components. An understanding of HEO and GEO orbits and the orbital relationships, as they apply to anomalies, and an understanding of anomaly recovery conops is required. The candidate will be required to respond to 24/7 ad hoc tasking, with call-in response time less than 30 to 45 minutes. CONUS and OCONUS travel is also required. The position is located in the Chantilly, VA area.
- B.S. degree in Engineering, or related discipline;
- 5-10 years’ experience
- Familiarity with Excel, Matlab, STK or SOAP modeling;
- Recognition of differing roles of SETA vs. developers, E1 and E2;
- Ability to work in a team environment;
- Adaptive to combined government/SETA/developer team
