Department : Maintenance

Accountable to : Manager of Maintenance Operations

Position Summary: Responsible for tracking and recording mechanical delays and cancellations in accordance with company policy and Federal Aviation Regulations.

Areas of Accountability/Essential Functions:
  • Performs all tasks as assigned in accordance with Company and FAA operating standards and GLA CAMP
  • Tracks and records all mechanical delays and cancellations
  • Works closely with dispatch and crew scheduling to maintain communication regarding aircraft/flight status and affect on operations
  • Administers and controls Deferred Maintenance List (DML) to ensure flight safety and regulatory compliance
  • Prepares Special Flight Permits for Ferry Flights
  • Coordinates parts and AOG parts shipping
  • Trouble-shoot aircraft problems and works with maintenance personnel to correct problems
  • Perform maintenance planning functions for scheduled and non scheduled aircraft maintenance
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Strong knowledge of and familiarization with airframe and powerplant concepts
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively
  • Ability to read and understand diagrams and written instructions
  • Ability to prioritize workload in order to get aircraft completed on time
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Knowledge of basic computer functions (email, word processing, etc.)

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • A&P License Required
  • Maintenance Controller experience preferred

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
  • Occasional to Frequent Lifting of items weighing up to 70lbs with or without assistance
  • Sitting for up to 12 hours at a time
  • Frequent bending, reaching, climbing stairs, kneeling/crouching, twisting, walking, pushing, and pulling
  • Frequent writing, reading, and use of standard office equipment
  • Moderate to high noise levels; may require use of hearing protection equipment
  • Must be able and willing to climb ladders and work at heights up to 25 ft
  • Occasional exposure to chemicals
  • Varying schedules, may require work on nights, weekends, and holidays
Other Requirements:
  • Minimum age of 18
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Travel may be required
  • Legally Authorized to work in the United States
