DESCRIPTION
General Purpose of the Position:
To safely perform duties as an electrician within the guidelines of CMI, OSHA and National Electrical Code (NEC)
DUTIES
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.):
- Enjoy working in an industrial setting (metal machining, and assemble)
- Perform technical work that revolves around programmable logic controller (PLC's), motor control and power distribution
- Differentiate colors (for electrical wiring tasks)
- Some irregular shifts (overtime)
- Troubleshoot and address technical issues
- Good judgment in planning and performing assigned tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Knowledge of the National Electric Code.
- Able to wiring control panels production automated machinery, from an electrical blueprint
- Able to wire building power expansion (single phase, 120, 208, 277 VAC: 3 phase,208, 480 VAC)
- Knowledge to trouble shoot with PLC's software (Allen Bradley, Direct, GE Fanuc)
- Knowledge of relay controls, motor starter circuits, and various industrial control DC circuits.
- Not Required but a Plus: Knowledge of GE Fanuc Robots (Trouble shooting and Points Teaching)
- Electrical Preventive Maintenance
- Knowledge in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic trouble shooting
- Micro Soft: Windows, Excel: Various industrial software programs
Education and Experience Required:
- High School Education
- Associate's degree Basic Electrical Theory and Blueprints.
Prior Experience Desired:
- In lieu of, or in addition to education, minimum 5 years in an industrial manufacturing plant(s) settings as an electrician.
