This position provides direct mechanical support to the Glenview Tech Ctr pilot plants and Morton Grove Cultured manufacting facility. repairs include but not limited to, equipment such as pumps, motors, preumatic tools, welding, pipefitting, and repair production equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Observes mechanical devices in operation

Fabricate, disassemble and assemble equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts

Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.

Lubricates and cleans parts

Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment and troubleshoot/repair processing, filling, and packaging equipment.

Weld and employ basic shop floor skills.

Install, move and relocate machinery/equipment.

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.


Demonstrate mechanical skills to include but not limited to basic use of shop equipment, hand tools, minor welding, plumbing, building maintenance, basic electrical, pipefitting.

Strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices and other quality rules and procedures.

Strict adherence to all safety procedures

Housekeeping and sanitation

Written and verbal communications skills

Required to perform job duties efficiently and safely

Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a teamj member

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs per Niosh lifting equation and utilize plant approved safe lifting practices for over 50 lbs

Primary shift days, Monday through Friday. However , shift and schedule may be adjusted to accomodated workload

Demonstrate self starter, intiating work, and attention to detail.

Attend training as needed

Must adhere to all Kraft Policies as stated in the Employee Handbook and follow internal Kraft Procedures

Must be able to work in a team environment

Must have a High School Diploma or GED
