This position is repsonsible for the leadership of the daily maintenance activites for a batch and continuous chemical production facility. This includes predictive, preventative and proactive maintenance analysis as well as designing and implementing long-term contnuous improvement plans to enhance maintenance reliability. Daily responsibilities will also include management of the maintenance inventory process, departmental costs and regulatory issues around mechanical integrity as required by PSM and other regulatory standards.
This position is also accountable for implementing and sustaining the equipment reliability processes to improve safety, equiment reliability and product quality at optimum cost. Responsible for increasing asset availability through the utilization of reliability tools, methods and practices. This person will supervise a maintenance team consisting of a maintenance engineer, maintenance technicians and planners.
Takes leadership role in plant safety processes to drive safety improvement through behavioral-based safety observations, regulatory inspections, incident analyses, and process hazard analyses
Oversee all maintenance activity within the plant.
Develop and maintain plant preventive/predictive maintenance programs
Provide leadership for the plant Mechanical Integrity program
SAP Maintenance process experience
Manages and provides direction to the Maintenance/Reliability Engineer
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or college, or demonstrated knowledge and understanding of unit operations and familiarity with all major engineering disciplines. Developed skills in technical writing, oral communication, cost estimation, preparation of drawings, project planning, supervision of personnel, and computers (spreadsheets, word processing, CAD). Experience in equipment design/specification, managing schedules, contractors, and budgets.
