Essential Functions :
Oversees maintenance over 3 shifts
Trains maintenance staff on effective maintenance practices, problem solving, maintenance scheduling and analysis of maintenance related data and equipment histories
Protects assets against loss through development, implementation and monitoring of appropriate and comprehensive predictive and preventive maintenance programs and practices
Coordinates major maintenance and project requirements with manufacturing, to include major downtime activities and downtime periods
Controls cost through effective budget planning and management
Sets and evaluates departmental goals and objective
Provides direction for maintaining and operating all physical equipment in conjunction with the manufacturing operations to support daily operations by assuring that demands for electrical, HVAC, and compressed air utilities are met 100% of the time
Ensures parts availability to minimize downtime
Protects the company's employees through aggressive completion of safety related work orders and enforcement of factory safety regulations such as lock out/tag out
Maintain the facility and equipment per Good Manufacturing Practices
Acts as a plant-level leader in regards to fixed asset inspections and reliability
Act as internal consultant in his/her facility and makes specific recommendations based on failure modes to improve asset reliability based on analysis of process and failure data when requested.
Participate in the GFSI/FSSC22000 yearly audit and assist in the development of procedures & corrective actions

? Ensure compliance of all control systems with regulatory agencies including: FDA, AIB, OSHA, NEC, USDA, NFPA, BOCA, etc. Ability to understand and ensure that all systems also comply with state and local codes standards.

? Directly manages project installations and retains ownership through start-up and project closure.

? Provides training and technical services at the plant level.

? Prepares updates, presentations, and other projects documents for presentation to multiple levels of DFD management.

? Position requires that the individual not only have a through understanding of current, accepted methods and solutions, but they also stay up to date on new technologies, etc. to deliver the most cost effective solutions to Dianne's Fine Desserts.

? Develop plans and strategies to relocate products for cost improvement, support factory rationalizations, and product quality improvements.

? This position requires a minimum of BS Degree in Engineering or related technical field required

? This position requires a minimum of 7 years of managerial and maintenance experience, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.

Must possess excellent motivational, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal & written)? A proven track record of Project Management of plant based project is required.

? A proficiency in standard windows based programs is required. (Word, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft project) and a detailed knowledge of a least one maintenance management software package.

? Broad, in-depth experience in food manufacturing facility requirements, including installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance programs.

? Ability to manage several tasks concurrently while working independently.

? Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, project.

? Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills required.

? Has the ability to teach and train others at all levels
