The Maintenance Manager must properly track and manage work schedules and payroll. The Maintenance Manager will also track and control inventory among other items that are necessary in managing a shop properly. Must be able to communicate and write reports and manage meetings with staff. Also, must be computer literate with word processing, spreadsheets and Microsoft outlook. The Maintenance Manager will report to the General Manager.
Must be able to properly prioritize, implement and manage work schedules, projects and assignments.
Must have the ability to track and control parts inventories, vendors and suppliers.
Must be able to manage the financial / accounting aspects of a fleet maintenance operation.
Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff in written and oral formats.
Must have computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and Microsoft outlook.
Must have technical competence with light / medium duty vehicle repair and preventive maintenance.
Must display initiative, professionalism, candor and tact at all times.
Must have a minimum of 5 years fleet / vehicle maintenance experience.
Must have a minimum of 3 years of maintenance supervisory or management experience.
ASE or equivalent (prefer Master Certification) certifications in 2 or more areas preferred.
Class B CDL license required.
Experience with fixed route and alternative fuel vehicles required.
