Scope of Position
Maintenance Manager will report directly to the General Manager and has a
dotted line to the Plant Managers (Dorchester & Allendale). Under general
direction; this individual is responsible for managing, supervising and
coordinating the maintenance and repair of all mechanical, electrical, and
instrument and control systems to ensure continuous and safe plant operations.
In addition, communicate objectives, participate in the selection of personnel,
and train and evaluate assigned personnel in accordance with Company policies
and government regulations.

While performing the
duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to use written and oral
communication skills, read and interpret data, information and documents;
analyze and solve complex problems, observe and interpret situations, use math
and mathematical reasoning; deal with changing, intensive deadlines, and
interact with internal and external clients. Occasional overnight travel (up to
20%) by land and/or air.
· Establish and
maintain the preventative maintenance schedule, activities and personnel in
accordance with approved schedule.
· Ensure the repair of
all electrical, mechanical, and instrument and control equipment. Provide for
emergency/temporary repairs as needed: plan and schedule permanent repairs.
· Organize and assign
work within the department to optimize the use of personnel and their skills.

· Ensure adequate
inventory of parts, tools, and equipment: order parts as needed.
· Receive, inspect and
store all incoming equipment, tools, parts and supplies. Verify with purchase

Valid Driver’s License
· A Bachelor's degree
in engineering or a bachelor’s degree in business / or extensive maintenance
experience is required.
· A minimum of 10 to 15
years of experience in solid fuel power plant.
· A minimum of 10 years
of progressive supervisory experience.
· Extensive experience
in the use of personal computers and numerous software applications such as Excel,
Word, MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, etc.
· Ability to
productively work independently and as an overall integral team member.
· Must have strong
communication skills and the ability to effectively organize and facilitate
