Position Overview

The Maintenance Supervisor will maintain general Plant equipment, facilities, and grounds. The position will work with CFN production team for planning, scheduling, work completion and work performance maintenance. The position manages emergency work at the facility and will complete facility capital and expense projects as assigned. The Maintenance Supervisor will supervise, complete reviews, KRA’s and set skill development plans for employees. The role will order supplies/equipment. The role will ensure safety items are being completed in a timely manner.

Principal Accountabilities

Work with production team on planning, scheduling, work completion and maintenance work performance.

Emergency coordination of resources & contractors. Able to resource necessary parts and equipment for repairs and projects.

General plant facility maintenance related items.

Reliable attendance.

Follows leadership direction.

Communicates well with others.

Work with plant manager, assistant plant manager and production supervisors in the workflow process



High School Diploma /GED

Five years experience in maintenance, engineering or production management.

Knowledge of a proactive maintenance model (i.e. planning, scheduling, defect elimination, etc.).

Demonstrated ability to identify and implement detailed solutions to complex technical problems involving multiple technologies.

Basic computer skills, working understanding of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Ability to learn computerized maintenance management system.

Strong communication, organization and time management skills.

Demonstrated strong leadership skills.

Willingness to challenge status quo.


Experience with Six Sigma, Lean, 5Y or Continuous Improvement

Knowledge of shop math, ability to interpret drawings and use the tools required

Knowledge of mechanical aptitude and mechanical and electrical and fabricated repairs.

Knowledge of predictive technologies (MCE, vibration, infrared, ultrasound, machinery lubrication)

Experience with Cargill Feed and Nutrition equipment and processes.
