Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or two to four years related experinence and/or training
  • Five years experience supervising maintenance personnel in a manufacturing facility, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety regulatory requirements
  • Must have a significant capacity for troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Familiarity with Motoman robots, Siemens and Allen Bradley controls, basic, hydraulic and pneumatics components and circuitry, as well as basic machine and hand tools
  • Ability to read and analyze technical procedures and write reports, business correspondence, and procedures manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers
  • Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervisoion
  • Advanced skills in SAP Preventative Maintenance (PM) module preferred; Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Observes safety and security procedures; uses equipment and materials properly; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; reports potentially unsafe conditions
  • Adapts to changes in the work environment; manages competing demands; changes approach or method to best fit the situation; ability to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
  • Supports and promotes Eberspaecher Exhaust Technologies of the Americas core values, Environmental, Health and Safety Policy, and Quality Policy
Primary Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises twelve employees in Maintenance department, including Maintenance Technicians, Robotic Programmers, and Bender Specialists
  • Schedules repair, maintenance and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations
  • Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electirc power, gas, or air required for operations
  • Responsible for adherence to lock out/tag out policies
  • Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations
  • Participates in HSE audits, and partners with Human Resources in maintaining ISO14001 compliance
  • Responsible for reducing or eliminating unplanned equipment downtime
  • Responsible for adherence to preventative maintenance plans
  • Fully utilizes the SAP PM module for all maintenance reporting
  • Reports equipment related problems to operations and recommends/executes solutions
  • Prepares facility for installation of new equpment and layout changes, including working with outside contractors
