The Maintenance Supervisor manages all day-to-day maintenance aspects of the maintenance operation to include primary associated and preventative maintenance and any warranty or non-warranty repairs of buses. The Maintenance Supervisor will be overseeing all maintenance and utility staff. The Supervisor will assure that all contractual requirements are achieved. Duties include daily, weekly, monthly and annual reporting responsibilities. Successful applicant will work and report to the Resident Maintenance Manager in the running of the day-to-day business. In addition, the Maintenance Supervisor must have experience with Air Conditioning systems, transmissions, emission control systems, and wheelchair lifts. The chosen candidate will be required to participate as needed in the maintenance and repair of the fleet.
Must possess at least 3+ current ASE certifications.
Must be able to properly prioritize, implement and manage work schedules, projects and assignments.
Must have the ability to track and control parts inventories, vendors and suppliers.
Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff in written and oral formats.
Must have computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and Microsoft outlook.
Must have technical competence with heavy duty vehicle repair and preventive maintenance.
Must display initiative, professionalism, candor and tact at all times.
Must have a minimum of 2 years fleet / vehicle maintenance management experience.
Experience with fleet-maintenance and inventory-tracking software is a plus.
Experience with Fixed Route vehicle maintenance preferred.
