Reporting to the Production Equipment Maintenance Manager the Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the mechanical maintenance of production equipment.
Supervise the maintenance of production equipment according to manufacturer's recommendations and experience with similar equipment.
Proper utilization of maintenance personnel to ensure effective and efficient equipment operation.
Develop and implement methods and procedures to service specific equipment or components therein.
Review PM Program and monitor schedules on existing equipment, as well as assist in developing PM programs for new equipment.
Applying and implementing training in new technology to improve equipment performance.
Effectively cross-train maintenance team members.
Coordinate parts and labor for specific work assignments during the annual plant shutdown.
Efficiently utilize all support groups to accomplish needed requirements.
Maintain good human relation principles, communication skills, and leadership quality with supervisors, peers, and subordinates.
Monitor and implement department work habits in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices.
Document recurring equipment breakdowns and using NCE problem solving tools, develop methods to predict and prevent breakdowns.
Develop and implement machine modifications and methods of operations to reduce machinery-related food and package variances.
Lead safety efforts by conducting weekly safety audits and ensuring all employees follow proper PPE practices and procedures including hazard recognition and risk analysis.
Must be able to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift.
B.S. Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, preferred.
Strong analytical and thinking skills.
Computer skills including WORD, EXCEL.
Proven leadership skills.
