JOB DESCRIPTION :|
This position is required to make decisions regarding performing preventive maintenance on various machinery. Troubleshoot and repair different equipment. Must be willing to attend training classes. Schedule and planning coverage of employees to meet operation goals and coordinates and oversees production within the department. Maintains employee relations and welfare, utilizes plant safety and ergonomic procedures and follows quality standards. Maintains compliance with all governmental regulatory agencies and Company policies and procedures.
Supervise hourly employees to meet or exceed Maintenance standards including labor yields and efficiencies.
Ability to interpret and apply the requirements contained in technical manuals, shop directives, multiview blueprints, and other documents in determining critical dimensions and key reference points
Coordinate and communicate with outside vendors to ensure prompt and accurate delivery and/or receipt of product.
General knowledge of setting up and operating machine tools such as small lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and precision grinders to manufacture component parts or re-machine existing parts.
Manage inventories to ensure product is properly accounted for and tracked.
Good knowledge of installation and repair of more complex equipment and machinery (including their lubricating and control systems, and power drives). Ability to examine and troubleshoot to determine the extent of repairs required, materials or parts needed, and to estimate the time required to complete repairs.
Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines.
Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
Analyzes work problems and elevates situation to the appropriate supervisor/manager.
Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
Maintains time and production records.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS :
College degree or equivalent experience preferred
Minimum of 5 years mechanical experience required and 3 years under a Supervision role preferred
Electrical background and Welding experience required
Good oral and written communication skills.
Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
