Who You Can Become
We seek an experienced MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR for our Buffalo, New York plastics injection molding facility.
The Maintenance Coordinator provides technical support for all plant manufacturing operations. This includes but is not limited to injection molding, sub-assembly, generators, and facility and building systems.

As a MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR, your responsibilities will include:

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the installation, development of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, electronic, processor controlled equipment.


  • Responsible for specification, verification, checkout, installation and start-up of all electronic and processor controlled equipment


  • Designs, installs and supports software programs and modifications to allow use of new options with molding machinery.


  • Designs, installs and supports electrical and hydraulic systems. Responsible for improving or customizing press and tool performance and keeping in pace with advancing mold design technology.


  • Repairs and tests electronic circuit boards, transducer and linear positioners as time allows.


  • Conducts in-house training classes for mechanics in electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems used to support the molding presses and the facility.


  • Ensures that proper matches exist between new tooling and the presses, from a press function standpoint.


  • Provides physical support and guidance to Maintenance Mechanics in repairing and troubleshooting production and facility systems.


  • Responsible for PM and repair programs of all temperature controllers MSI, DME and Cincinnati instruments.


  • Completes or oversees project work as assigned.


  • Substitutes for the Maintenance Supervisor in his/her absence.


  • Responsible for spare parts ordering and inventory.


  • Interacts with vendors on projects, preventative maintenance, maintenance troubleshooting, and general facility issues.


  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides technical support for computer networks/systems/software and hardware.


  • Manages system upgrades and maintain system requirements regarding technological upgrades.


  • Serves as the system administrator for the network, including user support, troubleshooting, staying up to date with training and technical issues, maintaining full functionality of the WAN and relevant operations, maintaining system documentation, and implementing a disaster recovery plan.


  • Supports strategic and LRP efforts on system design and implementation.


  • Manages capital projects related to systems.


  • Manages relationships with outside vendors and internal support i.e. Division and Rocky Mount Shared Services.


  • Skills/Experience Education/Certification

    1. Two (2) year technical degree in electronics and two (2) years applicable electrical and mechanical experience, or

    2. Without degree, five (5) years experience in electrical & mechanical maintenance, plus specialized training with equipment vendor, etc.

    3. Demonstrated capability with computer systems, software and hardware.
