Works from electrical and blueprints, wiring diagrams, sketches, machine manuals and instructions.
Troubleshoots and repairs electrical problems.
Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment.
Observes mechanical devices in operation to locate cause of trouble. Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Starts and tests devices to determine performance.
Performs preventative maintenance on machinery.
Relocate plant equipment; make necessary electrical, pneumatic and water line connections.
Must be able to rebuild and repair loaders, granulators, thermolators, dryers, and create bill of materials (BOM) when parts are needed.
Able to fabricate small projects using various metals and aluminum strut.
Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections. Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
Follows all safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly 5-s condition.
- Ability to read electrical, mechanical prints and work orders.
- Correctly use measuring equipment such as a caliper, micrometer, and electrical measuring instruments.
- Ability to safely operate most tooling equipment (lathe, mill, surface grinder, etc.)
- 2-3 years of Maintenance experience
- High School Diploma
- Able to work 2 nd shift.
