A Maintenance Technician V performs general/ routine maintenance to buildings & equipment. A Maintenance Tech V also applies experience in at least 2 maintenance field.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Complies with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources
Uses cutting torches, plasma cutters, welders, and a scissor lift
Installs or replaces machinery, equipment, and new or replacement parts and instruments, using hand tools or power tools.
Uses tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices .
Works with basic heating/cooling
Operates a forklift
Transfers tools, parts, equipment, and supplies to and from work stations and other areas.
Travels to multiple facilities on multiple shifts
Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
Performs other duties as assigned
Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
Is an organized, self starter
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
The employee is required to have a Technical Skill Certification or an equivalent degree.
The employee is required to have basic personal computer skills.
