Job Description

: Brewster Maintenance are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to be responsible for traveling to job sites, servicing requested carpentry, plumbing, painting, mechanical, electrical and cleaning needs. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Must demonstrate and model the core values
• Follow job schedule dictated in FieldOne
• Prepare and submit appropriate documentation in FieldOne
• Create estimates for projects in FieldOne
• Follow corporate and OSHA safety policies on jobsite, providing key responsibility for safety compliance in the field
• Implement the correct use of personal protection equipment
• Manage trades/ sub contractors working on Brewster Maintenance projects
• Maintain job site and property cleanliness by picking up trash and sweeping
• Maintain van cleanliness
• Operate or use maintenance equipment(Including, but not limited to; saws, drills, power washers, paintbrushes, drywall, nail guns, hammers, screwdrivers, electrical tools/ devices, plumbing tools/ devices, cleaning equipment, rental equipment, lifts, ladders)
• Perform advanced carpentry tasks (i.e. dry wall installation, advanced cutting, trim, bird mouth)
• Perform advanced plumbing tasks (i.e. snaking, toilet mechanics)
• Perform advanced painting tasks (i.e. ability to cut in, recognize paint types and their uses)
• Perform advanced mechanical tasks (i.e. replace furnaces and mother boards, repair and install gas lines, install water heaters)
• Perform advanced electrical tasks (i.e. electrical runs, adding sub panels, timers )
• Perform advanced demolition tasks (i.e. removal of walls, floors, ceilings, concrete, electrical and mechanical)
• Perform roofing tasks (i.e. repair and replacement)
• Perform locksmith tasks (previous training required)
• Communicate with property managers and clients, help with questions and resolve issues
• Seek and find work by performing routine checks on clients
• Sell Brewster Maintenance services to potential clients
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge required):
• 5+ years maintenance experience required
• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
• Carpentry experience preferred
• Trade school certification preferred
• OSHA aware (OSHA 10/30) preferred
• Mold remediation certification preferred
• Drywall certification preferred
• Experience with FieldOne, MS Office products and email preferred

SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Advanced experience with carpentry, plumbing, painting, mechanical and electrical tasks
• Advanced experience with maintenance tools
• Practical knowledge and experience with FieldOne, MS Office products and email
• Identifies process inefficiencies and comes up with solutions
• Recognizes when a project is in trouble and becomes part of the solution
• Analyzes and reports both internally and externally
• Plans and manages workload to meet deadlines
• Participates as an active member of the team
• Develops and maintains effective working relationships
• Creates and maintains strong client relationships
• Expresses thoughts and ideas clearly through written and verbal communication
• Takes direction and works under minimal supervision

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Physical Demands:
• Ability to lift, raise, lower 50-75 lbs, with occasional lifting up to 100 lbs
• Ability to work in tight areas which require kneeling for extended periods of time
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours
• Ability to stoop and crawl
• Ability to hear, see, talk, and touch

• Exposure to extreme weather
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts
• Exposure to high exposed places
• Potential exposure to toxic chemicals
