Observe and promote all department safety policies. Support equipment downtime in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Analyze equipment and process problems. Implement repairs and countermeasures to electrical, mechanical and hydraulic equipment. Develop and support equipment improvement projects. Conduct preventative maintenance activities. Support weekend and shutdown equipment issues. Support training of other equipment associates. Support the engineering group in short/long term projects. Complete technical activity logs for equipment history on a daily basis.
Work on daily activities a s assigned by the Team Leader. Respond to equipment downtime and recovery issues. Monitor equipment for potential problem identification. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Minimum of three years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, casting or foundry environment or three months of applicable work experience in manufacturing with a two-year technical degree.
Mechanical knowledge of production equipment operation and process. Electrical knowledge of both hardware and software systems. Understanding of basic Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) ladder logic for the purpose of efficiently troubleshooting equipment problems.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical related problems at low and high voltage levels.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and complex hydraulic equipment.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrate overall solid analytical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to be a self-starter, continually learn, train others and work well in a team atmosphere.
Ability to work 2
shift long term.
Ability to work overtime on weekends and holidays as needed.
Ability to troubleshoot and program PLC’s.
Basic computer skills using MS Word and Excel.
Project experience related to equipment procurement or upgrades.
Requires a two-year technical degree in electrical or electronic technology or related major and three months of applicable work experience, or a minimum of three years of applicable work experience if non-degreed.
