Maintenance technicians are responsible for all equipment installation and repair and light facility construction and repair. Under minimum supervision, depending on assigned job level and skill capability, the Maintenance Mechanic by applying one or more craft skills will be able install, troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment and make necessary repairs to the facilities. Skills are: electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic / PLC control systems. Other duties as assigned.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Able to work on all equipment in the facility and have the ability to project manage a job to completion.
Experienced with electrical repair, rebuild, and troubleshooting, including PLC programming.
Read and troubleshoot with electrical blueprints and schematics.
Receive and communicate written and verbal commands.
Experience with mechanical repair and troubleshooting.
Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Read and interpret equipment schematics and blueprints.
Perform new pipe installation and repair of existing pipe.
Work with electrical up to 480 volts A/C.
Troubleshoot electrical problems, such as in machinery and facility repair.
Repair, rebuild, install electrical systems for machinery or facilities.
Installation and repair of equipment with electrical control, such as machines and motors. Emphasis on PLC programming ability.
Repair, rebuild, install, and/or troubleshoot process machinery and facilities related equipment..
Education: H.S. diploma or GED required. Two year associates degree in electrical / mechanical maintenance preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in equipment maintenance, electrical, mechanical or plumbing installation and repair
- Good English communication skills, including basic reading and writing
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions
with 3 years experience as maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment, preferably a circuit board manufacturing environment.
Must be eligible to work on defense and satellite programs subject to ITAR Regulations. Therefore, candidates must be U.S. Citizens or U.S. Permanent Residents ("Green Card").
