The maintenance technician will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair all production machine tools at an industry-leading water-pump manufacturing facility. An international company, this position, located in New Brighton, is a long-term, contract-to-hire, with a possibility for direct-hire. It will be working on a 2nd shift. Please contact Indrotec immediately if you meet the qualifications listed below.Perform maintenance functions in all areas with a primary focus on one of the following: machines (CNC and conventional), assembly [building test fixtures and assembly equipment), and building (heating, air-conditioning, cooling tower, etc.).
Assist other maintenance personnel when requested
Show leadership in problem-solving and offer ideas and suggestions for improvements
Order all repair parts and stock as needed
Able to work with maintenance software
Provide own hand tools such as sockets, pliers, screw drivers, wrenches, etc..
Possess a broad-based technical training or equivalent demonstrable experience in: hydraulics, electronics, pneumatics, building systems, mechanics, blueprint and schematic readings
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems in equipment and correct repairs in a timely manner
Aware of safety requirements in order to safely work alone, as well as in conjunction with other maintenance staff. (Lock out/Tag out procedures, etc.).
Train maintenance personnel when necessary.
Able to work with high voltage electricity safely.
Communicate well with others in the Maintenance Department, as well as other departments.
Knowledge of PLC’s and be able to program and troubleshoot them.
Willing to continually upgrade skills and learn new technologies
A high school diploma or GED
Pass criminal background check and drug test
Demonstrated, steady work history with two years relevant experience
Able to perform strenuous physical labor and lift weights up to 50 pounds
Two years relevant work history.
