Responsibilities:
  • Install, troubleshoot, calibrate, test and maintain telecommunications equipment or systems at multiple site locations
  • Must maintain and enforce the Jacobs Beyond Zero safety program by ensuring daily jobsite safety plans are reviewed and followed, and work is stopped when unsafe practices or conditions exist.
  • Availability for 24/7 response to RF, HVAC, electrical, or generator telecommunications site issues
  • Prepare records and reports needed to track time, materials, and troubleshooting results
  • Interact and provide updates to the client’s field personnel D
  • riving 4-wheel drive vehicles between sites, including hooking up and maneuvering trailers and generator systems
  • There may be travel outside of primary market for limited periods of time.
Training and Experience

Basic qualifications:
·
High school diploma or GED required
·
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
·
Must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience installing and troubleshooting fiber optic, electrical, or communications systems in a related industry
·
Willingness to climb and work at heights.
·
Microsoft Word, Excel, Word and Outlook experience
·
Ability to utilize company computer on-line systems for time keeping and other reporting
·
Ability to make practical use of OSHA guidelines as well as all other applicable safety laws and policies.
·
Ability to multi-task in a demanding environment
·
Capable of being entrusted with company assets and confidential information.
·
Willingness to be cross-trained in varying areas of communications including construction.
·
Willingness to work outside in all extreme conditions.
·
Must be able to work overtime to include Saturday, Sundays and evening hours.
Preferred qualifications:
·
Associates degree or technical school certification.
·
Experience in the telecommunications industry.
·
Current ComTrain or equivalent certification in Tower Climbing Safety and Rescue a plus.
·
Anritsu and/or PIM testing certification.
·
OSHA 10 Hour certification.
·
CPR/First Aid certification.
·
Prior military communications, electronics troubleshooting, fiber optics or other relatedexperience.
·
HVAC and/or generator troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
·
Technical knowledge of wireless telecommunications products.
·
Class B CDL with Air Brakes endorsement.

Ability to lift, carry, push and pull 50 lbs.
·
Able to crouch, kneel, and twist throughout the work day.
·
Able to reach, grasp and climb with both hands.
·
Able to manipulate equipment and instruments with precise hand and finger movements.
