Description

The Role:
The Maintenance Technicians are system experts in their assigned area, and are highly functional in multiple areas. The Maintenance Technicians must also ensure efficiency, operational conformance, product quality and continuous improvement. This role functions as a member of a maintenance team which is directly responsible for the efficient maintenance of a group of assets to a baseline state. This role is required to effectively troubleshoot, operate/change over specified machinery in the assigned area.

Recoginized Expert for Maintenance:
ability to troubleshoot routine and non-routine issues and be a resource towards achieving safe, timely, cost efficient solutions

develop best practices for area and insure best practices are followed

lead or participate in continuous improvement efforts

effective shift communications. Attends and participates in maintenance issues in shift overlaps, quality reviews, and daily meetings as required

performs equipment PM's as assigned

ability to complete root cause failure analysis on issues involving reliability, product/packaging defects, downtime and slow time

effectively works and communicates with all departments (scheduling, engineering, R&D, IE, logistics, operations, etc.).

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem solve

Strong interpersonal skills

Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment

Demonstrated high electrical/mechanical aptitude

Qualifications

Physical/Environmental Requirements:
Standing on a concrete floor

Wearing proper personal protective equipment (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform)

Bending, stooping, twist, turn, standing for extended time periods, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs

Ability to operate a forklift

EDUCATION:
·

High School diploma or equivalent; in-house training is required.

·

Must meet all job specific education requirements as deemed necessary

·

Associate Degree or equivalent training is considered a plus.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
·

Successful completion of Mars Apprenticeship program or 3 years in production support or maintenance support role and/or 2 year technical degree . Education could be substituted for work experience..
