This position performs mechanical duties as needed in maintaining and repairing field equipment including engines, compressors, pumps, pipelines, vessels, and other items of equipment. Using approved schedule, services variety of engines, compressors, pumps, fans, motors, sheaves, electric motors, etc. Maintains and operates oxygen analyzer as needed. Works at shop or in field, changing oil, filters, belts, suction/discharge filters, etc. May maintain and repair valves, regulators, etc. May perform duties such as blowing drips, tracking SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), well test, free flowing well data, compressor logs, gas engines logs, trouble reports, progress reports; gathers operational field data and power washes compressor units as needed. Drives to location and diagnoses problem and performs basic required repair, replacement of broken parts, etc; informs Maintenance Technician or Supervisor of need for significant repairs. May perform or help others perform major maintenance and repair of engines, compressors, pumps, etc.; replaces main bearings, pistons, cylinder liners, valves, rods; sets engines/compressors and aligns prior to start up. Reads and follows directions in manufacturers' maintenance manuals. Assists with maintenance, repairs and modifications to equipment such as lines, vessels, etc., by fixing leaks, applying insulation; may be required to dig, climb, or perform other manual labor. Keeps equipment and tools clean and secure; maintains neat, clean work areas. Operates power tools, air compressors, and other equipment to recondition or repair damaged parts; may operate cranes, winch truck, cutting torch, etc. Operates, services, and ensures proper maintenance and security for Company vehicle and other property for which responsible. May enter data in TOW (The Oilfield Workplace) computer system. May be required to monitor production and report deviations. Repairs and maintains safety devices on equipment. Prepares required vehicle mileage reports, time sheets, equipment servicing reports; submits as required. May exercise custody and safekeeping over tools and inventory of spare parts and supplies; notifies supervisor of need for replacements and additional inventory. May relieve other employees. May conduct on-the-job training for other employees. Follows and supports all Pioneer HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) policies at all times. Knows and uses appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times. Drives Company vehicles over various types of road conditions and terrain, including highways, rural roads including paved and gravel surfaces, and off road situations including two track roads. Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Requirements
High School education or equivalent is required. Must have at least 1 year related mechanical experience involving compressors, engines, pumps, etc. in automotive, oil or gas field operations. Must have a valid operator’s license with clean driving record. The ability to understand and apply basic math, ability to communicate effectively over radio and/or phone communication systems. and basic computer skills with a familiarity of the MS Office suite of products are required.

This position may be called out for repairs during off duty times. Frequently stands, walks, uses hands, reaches with hands and arms. May climb, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Duties require close vision, distance vision, and color vision. Able to deal with wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat/cold. Work environment may include moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, airborne particles and moderate to loud noise, requiring consistent use of appropriate PPE.
