Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Department: Fain Gas Plant
Location: Masterson, TX
Maintains, installs, tests and repairs engines, compressors, pumps, valves and any other equipment or structures in the gas processing plant, compressor station or treating facilities.
As part of maintenance crew, helps repair and maintain plant equipment including engines, compressors, pumps, vehicles, valves, piping, etc.
Cleans and maintains equipment, buildings, and grounds.
Learns operation of Compressor Stations and Gas Plant.
Performs monthly routine checks of plant equipment.
Demonstrates continuous effort to maintain safety, improve operations and decrease turnaround times and streamline work processes.
Works cooperatively to provide quality seamless plant operation.
Follows and supports all Pioneer HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies at all times.
Knows and uses appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.
Drives Company vehicles over various types of road conditions and terrain, including highways, rural roads including paved and gravel surfaces, and off road situations including two track roads.
Fills out time sheets, daily work sheets, driver logs.
Installs tire chains for better traction when needed.
Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
May be called to work after hours and overtime.
High School education or equivalent.
Technical school or training preferred.
Entry level position-no direct experience necessary.
Must successfully complete H25 gas safety training and obtain certification.
Valid operator's license with clean driving record.
Able to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, MSD's (Material Safety Data Sheets), operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
Able to speak effectively to peers and supervisors regarding equipment problems.
Able to work cooperatively with others.
Able to solve practical problems and deal with multiple variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule forms.
Able to stand, sit, bend or climb for long periods of time.
Able to deal with wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat/cold.
Work environment may include moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, airborne particles and moderate to loud noise, requiring consistent use of appropriate PPE.
Able to regularly move/lift up to 50 and occasionally move/lift up to 100 pounds.
