Presco Maintenance Technician
Electrical, Controls (drives, PLC, CNC), Mechanical, Pneumatics, Hydraulics

Job Responsibilities:
*Trouble-shoot and repair production equipment.
*Perform preventative maintenance.
*Complete enhancement projects or completely new projects for production safety, capability or capacity.
*Communicate accurately, fully, and professionally with your customer regarding priorities, repair steps taken, parts ordered, and estimated time until completion.
*Participate in daily shift meetings, prioritize and maintenance work.
*Acquire new electrical, mechanical, pneumatics and hydraulics and controls knowledge to stay current with changing industrial needs.
*Read procedures and maintenance comments using MP2 software.
*Document work using MP2 software
*Contribute to on-going documented procedural improvements by participating in team reviews.

Requirements:
*2-year electro-mechanical Associates degree or equivalent military training or 5 years industrial experience.

Controls:
*Drives: Demonstrated familiarity with AC Variable Frequency drives required. Demonstrable skills with Servo drives are a plus.
*PLC: Must be able to read and understand ladder logic as well as make un-assisted rudimentary changes to a PLC. Demonstrable skills as a true PLC programmer are a plus.
*CNC: Demonstrable skills with CNC coding, robot controllers or any type of motion-control programming language are all a plus.

Electrical:
*Able to read and mark up wiring diagrams for moderately complex control boxes.
*Able to connect the following types of motors: Steppers, 120v 1-phase, 240v 1 and 3 phase, AC and Servo.
*Knowledgeable on recommended wire gauges, wire connectors, and how to keep a control box neat.
*Able to trouble-shoot down to the ‘bad-board’ level. Ability to trouble-shoot to component level has some additional benefit but is not required.

Mechanical:
*Able to list the most common hand-tools used in routine machine trouble-shooting and can describe how they are used.
*Very comfortable using digital calipers and feeler gauges to measure and “true” a mechanical assembly.
*Able to sketch well enough to convey thoughts with mechanically-minded peers.
*Able to read and interpret blueprints.
*Able to figure out the part number of parts that need to be ordered.
*Able to lift 40 lbs manually, and knows how to handle equipment to manipulate heavier weights safely.

Pneumatic:
*Able to read and understand a pneumatic/ hydraulic drawing. Knowledge of the most common hydraulic/pneumatic symbols is a plus.
*Possesses a familiarity with various kinds of pneumatic and hydraulic fittings and connectors.
*Can correctly explain how to tighten a hydraulic fitting.

Computer skills:
*Must be able to type full descriptions of actions taken using a computer keyboard. Inability or unwillingness to type full descriptions of work will disqualify any applicant.
*Understands that reading and responding to e-mails is a fundamental part of the job.
*Able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
*Habitually records data in electronic files.
*Able to quickly learn and use MP2 maintenance software.
*Possess some understanding of Statistical Process Control. Ability to perform statistical processing on data is a plus.

*Comfortable in treating Manufacturing operators as a highly valued customer.

*Enthusiastically participates in continuing education for new, more complex job skills.
*Encourages documenting continual improvements as part of a team.
