Position Summary :
The purpose of the position is to provide effective execution of all maintenance, controls, and assigned projects within the premises of the plant in support of Safety, Quality, and Reliability and our corporate strategy.

Essential Job Functions :
Must be able to perform essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Communicate any and all maintenace issues, problems or successes to the incoming shift associates.
Complete daily assigned work.
Utilize Empac program for all parts and work order requests.
Ensure that good housekeeping and safe work practices are followed.
Assist in troubleshooting and commissioning various control system platforms equipment and controls.
Ensure that all labor, parts and work are reported.
Ensure shop areas including spare parts room and offices are cleaned daily.
Ensure that accurate copies of all electrical and controls documentation are backed up and maintained in accordance with the Kroger corporate policy. (ie: control systems, PLC programs, single line drawings etc.)
Review the Maintenance Key Performance Indicators and drive improvement.
Communicate effectively with fellow employees.
Complete safety observations as assigned.

Follow all food safety policies and requirements:
Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.
Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the food safety related systems.

Minimum Position Qualifications :
Knowledge of electrical (ac & dc), PLC's pneumatics, hydraulics, steam, ammonia refrigeration, plumbing, pipefitting, fabricatioon and welding.
Read and interpret blue prints, schematics, technical manuals and drawings.
Excellent communication skills.
Highly motivated self-starter with high work ethic and dependability standards.
Proficiency with Kroger’s improvement processes encompassing Safety, Quality and Reliability.
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn PM and other maintenance based programs.
Two plus years maintenance experience in a manufacturing industry.

Desired Previous Job Experience :
Experience in food manufacturing is desired.
