To be responsible for is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

  • Basic knowledge of low pressure boilers, related pumps, and HV/AC systems
  • Basic knowledge of hot water circulation systems and cold water house pumps
  • Basic knowledge of building fire and security/safety systems
  • Repair of door and lock installation
  • Minor repairing of small appliances and furniture
  • Minor Patching and painting of drywall
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
  • Check and clean roof systems, to include gutters and downspouts
  • Assist in scheduling all building inspections
  • Supervise vendors on care and up keep of building and grounds
  • Assist in establishing priorities for major maintenance projects and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Serve as liaison for Director of Facilities, Project Managers, and Facilities Manager with contractors, regarding remodeling, and repair of properties.
  • Determine and interpret codes and regulations covering facilities, equipment and building items with compliance of codes and regulations.
  • Available for emergency needs as necessary after hours, on week-ends and holidays.
  • Advise Facilities Manager regarding major emergency repair decisions.
  • Adhere to all facility policies and procedures regarding safety.
  • Order and obtain materials to be use by the maintenance department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.

  • Qualifications:
  • High school education.

  • 2- 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or related profession and the ability to learn a wide variety of new skills and tasks associated with the performance of the duties assigned.

  • Valid Driver’s License.

  • Experience with persons who have a mental illness or other disabilities is desirable but not required.

  • The technician is to provide all of his own tools and to acquire those tools needed to perform the routine tasks assigned.

  • The technician is to have a vehicle which will sufficiently support the unique duties assigned to this role.

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.

  • Ability to climb ladders.

  • It is expected that the technician will have to transport a significant variety of building materials and tools including ladders from one location to another.
