The Maintenance Technician aids the production process through maintenance and repair of tools, machines and processes used in the manufacturing of Winegard products as well as making building and facility repairs in a timely fashion to maintain production schedules.

Job Duties:

- Repairs, maintains and/or replaces various machines/components used in Winegard production processes in an effort to enhance efficiency and quality and eliminate process-related downtime

- Interprets sketches, blueprints and schematics for the maintenance of Winegard Company equipment needs

- Operates and maintains multiple tools such as but not limited to: pedestal grinders, drill presses, saws, welders and torches

- Operates and maintains measuring instruments such as but not limited to: micrometers, scales and calipers

- Troubleshoots mechanical problems, performs basic repairs to the tolerances needed to keep equipment operating at optimum levels of efficiency and quality

- Maintains a clean and safe work environment by adhering to established safety policies and procedures, as well as wearing all appropriate personal protective equipment

- Performs duties as needed or instructed in a timely manner

- Assists with preventative maintenance on all machines and equipment used in Winegard manufacturing processes

- Provides support to all existing and/or new fabrication and assembly machines and equipment

- Effectively communicates written and verbal information such as tie-ins, reports and/or required documentation

- Previous Manufacturing Maintenance Experience and/or Technical degree in related field

- General knowledge of production/manufacturing methods and the ability to apply general mechanical aptitude in the maintenance of production processes

- Ability to set up and operate machine tools such as but not limited to: grinders, drills, welders, saws and hand tools needed to perform duties

- Ability to accurately use measuring instruments such as but not limited to scribes, micrometers, calipers and protractors

- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations

- Ability to communicate/collaborate with plant personnel to ensure efficient production

- Ability to interpret and follow written and oral instructions

- Knowledge of organizational methods and the ability to manage multiple tasks/duties and operations simultaneously

- Knowledge and ability to implement all safety techniques/practices in accordance with established policies and procedures

- Ability to operate mechanical lifts of various types (i.e. scissor lifts, elevated work platforms, overhead crane and fork trucks).

- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment

- Knowledge of lock-out/tag-out procedures

- Ability to move freely throughout the plant as needed to perform duties

- Ability to remain calm and professional during peak periods of stress and activity

- Ability to work overtime and assist in other work areas as required

- Mechanical ability, manual desterity and hand-eye coordination required to disassemble, repair parts or tools using drawing and instructions

- Knowledge of safe working practices, emergency procedures and possible dangerous situations
