Performs maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, electrical, or vehicle servicing
•Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
•Works under limited supervision
•Complete resident requested service orders on a timely basis (24-hours, unless stated otherwise)
•Order appropriate maintenance supplies needed for jobs after approval from Maintenance Supervisor
•Consult with Maintenance Supervisor on major repairs, replacements and/or contracts
•Attend meetings, training sessions and seminars as requested by Maintenance Supervisor
•Maintain a working knowledge of all fair housing laws, its policies and practices
•Comply with all OSHA regulations
•Requires 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area
•Required to hold a valid driver’s license, a reliable work vehicle (truck, van, etc) and current insurance
•Must be available for night/weekend on-call duty
•Good human relations skills and the ability to work well with others
•High school diploma or equivalent
•Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and hand tools suitable for maintenance-related work
•Physical capabilities to carry out job responsibilities including the ability to lift 80-100 lbs., stand for extended periods of time, ability to walk, talk and have use of both hands.
•Must have basic knowledge and experience in all areas of residential construction, carpentry and maintenance
