Description
We are looking for an experienced, motivated maintenance technician able to troubleshoot and maintain complex, automated, custom manufacturing equipment. Besides hands on skills, the successful candidate must be familiar with maintenance programs in the pharmaceutical industry.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and calibration on simple and complex, standard and custom process equipment
Assist in commissioning new process equipment
Diagnose and correct equipment problems
Refine and improve the operation of new and existing equipment including required physical and documentation changes
Document work following SOPs and other applicable methods
Develop and revise PM and Cal SOPs for new and existing equipment. Includes determining necessary maintenance and calibration activities and their intervals.
Perform investigations for equipment related non-conformances
Identify required spares for new and existing equipment
Improve and update databases (maintenance management, spare parts, tooling)
Provide input to Equipment and Process Engineering on equipment issues
Coordinate and manage the work of contract maintenance personnel and junior technicians
Assist with maintenance of facility equipment
Qualifications
Completion of high school and 2 years of college level or equivalent course work.
Minimum of 5 years equipment maintenance, calibration, or instrumentation experience in pharmaceutical or related field.
Comprehend manuals, drawings, specifications, and other written material associated with the maintenance, calibration, and repair of equipment
Understand and work effectively in GMP aseptic and non aseptic environments
Communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with all levels of the organization
Proficiency with databases and systems
Proficient in use and care of test equipment
