Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as that involved in industrial-scale heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems (HVAC). Also repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED

3 to 5 years related experience in HVAC and general maintenance

Strong knowledge of Industrial HVAC required

Knowledge of electrical principles

Ability to operate forklift and mobile carts.

Ability to set up metalworking tools to make and repair parts.

Ability to repair and maintain conveyor systems.

Ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment problems.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; talk or hear and taste or smell.

The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.

The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles.

The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock and vibration.

Note: The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
