As our full-time Maintenance Worker you will be responsible for preventative maintenance at our residential homes and shelters located in Brooklyn & Queens as well as our administrative office (Manhattan). Responsibilities of this position include cleaning gutters, caulking windows, repairing furniture, replacing tiles, building, repairing, and installing woodwork and trim for organizational facilities. The Maintenance Worker ensures completed work conforms to proper procedures, accreditation guidelines, and standards of quality and safety. In addition, you will be responsible to communicate consistently with managers and staff on the status of any service requests.
To be considered for this unique opportunity you will need:

- High school diploma/GED or license.
- Training and/or experience is preferred in one or more of the following skill trades: Heating, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry.
- Knowledge of blueprints and diagrams a plus.
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Have a valid driver’s license with a good record
- Be able to pass an extensive background check
- Will work various shifts and be available in the event of an off-hour emergency
