Under close supervision, perform routine building maintenance tasks.
Reports to: Manager, Facilities
Tape, float, and texture sheetrock
Measure using tapes, transits, levels, etc
Move furniture, file cabinets, equipment, etc using hand dollies.
Change light bulbs
Paint, varnish, and/or seal walls, ceilings, floors, furniture, equipment, etc using brushes, rollers, air sprayers, etc
Install and/or replace floor and ceramic tiles
Drive vehicles as needed, such as truck, pick-up truck, etc
Replace glass in doors and windows
Perform unskilled carpentry work in the construction/repair of walls, ceilings, etc. Repair and replace electric plugs and cords
Operate drills, buffers, grinders, sanders, etc
Perform simple plumbing installations and repairs i.e. install/repair faucets, unclog drains, replace valves, etc
Perform basic service on pumps, air handlers, cooling towers, etc repack, change oil and filters, lubricate, etc
Operate various power saws, i.e. radial arm, skill, etc
Repair and replace door locks and knobs
Perform other duties as assigned

Equipment, methods, and materials used in moderate levels of construction, i.e. building walls, hanging

Equipment, methods and materials used in ground maintenance.
Proper methods and procedures used in cleaning work area and equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee constantly is required to manage perform routine maintenance and report work. The employee frequently is required to travel between sites. The employee occasionally is required to instruct others about safety.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School graduation or GED, plus one year of experience in general construction, or custodial building maintenance/repair work
One additional year of relevant work experience may substitute for one year of the required education with a maximum substitution of four years.
Required CERTIFICATES/LICENSES/Certificates of Completion
Texas Class "C" Operator's License
The person performing this job will primarily perform the duties in an indoor environment and will travel to perform the work at different healthcare sites where the individual may be exposed to airborne pathogens, noise, electrical and other hazardous equipment and keeping others safe. The person may occasionally perform work outdoors and be exposed to changing weather conditions.
