Performs unskilled and semi-skilled manual work involving general minor maintenance tasks such as: masonry, painting, carpentry, cleaning of tools and equipment; checks fluid levels on equipment, test run generators & fire pumps; checks and services vehicle tires and batteries; cleans parking facilities by washing down surfaces using pressure cleaners, sweeping, mopping, empties trash containers and washing floors; replenishes supplies in rest rooms; etc. Loads and unloads trucks with tools and materials for transport to and from work sites. Performs maintenance tasks utilizing power equipment requiring some manipulative skills. Eliminate the following section: Performs unskilled and semi-skilled manual work involving the cleaning and maintenance of City parking facilities including cleaning windows, bathrooms, walls, offices, elevators, etc. Empties trash containers and replaces plastic liners. Performs a variety of tasks involving significant physical effort. Operates power tools and mechanical cleaning equipment. Performs maintenance tasks utilizing equipment requiring some manipulative skills.

WORK SCHEDULE AND LOCATION: Regular hours are 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Some weekend and holiday work required. Schedule is subject to change based on division needs. Work locations include various parking garages in and around Downtown Orlando.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to read, write, and follow instructions. Ability to work without close supervision once tasks are learned. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, often under hot and humid environmental conditions. Ability to climb stairs and use ladders. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Some experience in building/industrial cleaning required; background in building repair and/or construction is preferred. Ability to operate pressure washer, EZ-GO, and lawnmower. Florida driver license required.

VALID DRIVER LICENSE FROM ANY STATE MUST BE PRESENTED AT TIME OF INTERVIEW. VALID FLORIDA DRIVER LICENSE MUST BE PRESENTED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE.
