This position is a SEASONAL position and is located at the Vadlez Campground in Valdez, Alaska. This position may require you to work nights, weekends, holidays and rotating shifts.

Assigned to the Valdez Campgrounds, provides assistance and support to the staff in maintaining and upkeeping of facility, grounds and related equipment. Duties require the use of trade practices associated with carpentry and painting as well as work involving motor vehicle operations. Incumbent performs a variety of tasks involving the maintenance and minor repairs of buildings and campground equipment. Performs minor grounds maintenance to include ensuring entrances and exits are free from debris, sidewalks are clear of iceand snow. Maintains outside areas. Conducts and documents safety inspections of facility and grounds. Drives govenment provided vehicles.
High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
Ability to communicate in English at a level to assure the duties described can be accomplished in a safe and satisfactory manner. Demonstrated skills in successfully operating standard tools.
