Position Summary: The Maintenance Worker provides critical services for Familylinks by ensuring a safe environment for all clients, staff and visitors in all aspects of our facilities, vehicles and equipment. This position provides preventative and ongoing maintenance of the agency facilities, vehicles and equipment to continue to guarantee a safe environment for staff, clients and visitors.

Position Qualification:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent plus three (3) years of experience in general maintenance and repair work. The ability to assess the maintenance needs of a number of different facilities and equipment and the capability to take corrective action is required. Schedule may require working days, evenings, and weekends as well as to be available for on-call status 24-7. Mandatory overtime may be required. Must possess valid PA Driver’s License and have a vehicle available for work with a truck being preferred. The Maintenance Worker must have his/her own hand tools as a requirement for the position. The Maintenance Worker must meet all new hire requirements for Familylinks including Act 33 & 34 clearances.

Skills Required: Overall general knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry and painting knowledge. Maintenance Workers must be able to do a variety of this skill areas hand-on along with the ability to plan for the work with the proper tools and materials. They should be flexible and organized along with the ability to follow directions for assignments, installation and repairs.

Essential Functions/Accountabilities:
1. Performs general maintenance and repairs to maintain the upkeep of agency facilities’ structures in accordance to all regulatory codes and contract regulations.

2. Performs electrical, plumbing, painting, plaster/drywall, carpentry, masonry work, roofing, landscaping including snow removal, appliance repairs, flooring, mechanical work, and HVAC.

3. Responds to emergency calls for repair work regardless of the day or hour.

4. Must be able to work with limited supervision, read and complete work orders, complete daily work logs, and use the computer to check SharePoint, emails and other related computer work.

5. Must have the knowledge and the ability of the materials needed to complete jobs such as, tools, methods, and equipment used in a building trades such as carpentry, painting, masonry, cement work, electrical work, HVAC, and appliance.

6. Repair methods and maintenance practice of structures, furnishings, equipment, and work safety practices.

7. Attend all meetings and trainings as assigned.
