Responsibilities:

Under the general supervision of the Facilities Manager and Senior Lead Engineer, the Maintenance Engineer performs general maintenance and repair duties.

Qualifications:

Educational Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

Licensure, Registration, Certification

Plumbing, electrical and/or air conditioning licensure preferred.

Special Training/Skills

Able to organize, perform and prioritize multiple tasks.

Work Experience

Minimum of one year maintenance experience required.

Physical Abilities

Must be capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Ability to stand or sit for long period of time.

Must be able to move freely about the department and hospital.

Physical Demand Level: Heavy

In an 8-hour workday, must be able to-

Lift / Carry

50 to 100 pounds occasionally

25 to 50 pounds frequently

10 to 20 pounds constantly

As required, must be able to -

Sit, Stand, Walk, Bend, Squat, Kneel, Crawl, Climb and Reach above shoulders

Push and Pull

Perform fine motor functions

Must possess functional vision, hearing, and speech in order to communicate effectively with clients, client advocates, and staff.
