High School Diploma or GED
Maintenance Worker duties and responsibilities:
General Maintenance and repairs of the facility and building systems including electrical, plumbing, minor carpentry and painting, minor floor and tile repairs, hot/cold calls, filter changes, etc.
Maintenance and repair of plumbing systems including sanitary sewers, potable water distribution, piping, valves and fixtures.
Remove, repair and replace plumbing fixtures as required.
Minor maintenance, repairs and installation of electrical systems less than 480V, including light fixtures, ballasts, lamps and emergency lighting.
Responds to hot/cold calls as required throughout buildings.
First call response and diagnosis for non-functioning elevators.
Repair and maintenance of food service equipment including carts.
Repair and maintenance of building enclosure including roofs, windows, doors
Repair, maintenance and installation of interior doors, closers, operators and fire/smoke walls.
Repair and maintenance of the nurse call (patient stations) and televisions.
Operates, repair, maintenance and testing of the fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems.
Capable of performing or assisting with any of the Groundskeeper duties and responsibilities seasonally or on an as-needed basis.
Moving of furniture and other items as required.
Other maintenance duties as assigned.
Identifies and recommends required replacement parts for assigned equipment.
Completes purchase requisition forms as required.
Completes assigned preventative maintenance work for equipment within the allotted time.
Proficient in the use of the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) related to assigned duties and responsibilities.
Maintenance Worker Requirements:
High School diploma required.
Previous general maintenance or grounds maintenance experience is an asset.
Proficient with basic office software (internet, email).
Must have the ability to work proficiently with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Valid driver’s license required.
