To clean and maintain the museum’s facilities to the highest standards.
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 1:30 to 10:00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Clean restrooms, steps, elevators, offices and galleries including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and removing trash. Clean glass, chrome, and windows. Restock supplies.
Clean outside entrances including scrubbing stains on concrete, removing trash, dusting, washing and sweeping.
Strip, wax, buff and mop floors as assigned.
Assist with set-up and tear down of events, office moves and other happenings involving moving and rearranging furniture, supplies, files and other materials.
Complete work orders as assigned including snow and ice removal and trips to the warehouse to gather supplies, furniture, files, etc.
Paint offices, galleries and other locations as needed.
High school diploma or GED required.
Must be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to do heavy lifting with assistance, such as moving furniture.
Be comfortable standing and walking on hard floors continuously.
Be comfortable with heights including catwalks, scaffolding, lifts, and ladders.
Must be available to work overtime and some holidays as required.
While performing the duties of this job, the Maintenance Worker is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. The worker must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color visions, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Must also be physically capable of running a floor buffer, floor scrubber and operating a motor vehicle.
