Cargill Grain & Oilseed Supply Chain consists of 11 businesses that operate on an integrated global basis. We source, trade, process and distribute grain and oilseeds. The main bulk products handled are wheat, corn, oilseeds, barley and sorghum, as well as vegetable oils, meals and ethanol. This group works closely Cargill's ocean freight logistics business.

Direct accountability, leadership and oversight of maintenance, electrical, electronic and instrumentation craft persons and supplementary outside resources for a grain export facility. Strong working knowledge of material handling equipment, such as elevator legs, belt conveyor drives, grain dryers, and structural defect recognition. Accountable for uptime of the facility driving the ability for the team to meet the challenging demands of production running 24/7. Strong ability to find the root cause of problems through leadership and relentless determination for process improvement. Execute correct application of Reliability Strategies such as Proactive Work Activities, On-Condition and Predictive Technologies, RCM, Craft Skills Development, Proper Planning and Scheduling Functions, Precision Maintenance and Cause Analysis. Expected execution of aligned Grain Oilseed Supply Chain reliability practices will reduce operating cost while improving Overall Equipment effectiveness and Asset Utilization. Troubleshoot equipment failures and oversee coordination of proactive and reactive activities on a day-to-day basis.
30% Lead the facility team of crafts persons and contractors by utilizing the Cargill leadership Model. This will include leading a team of supervisors and coaching supervisors in all aspects of leadership. Also coordinate all predictive and On-Condition Contracts.
20% Lead, supervise and coordination of proactive, reactive and modifications work type and management of formal work flow system. Communicate asset health of all critical assets and lead shared asset support and ownership activities
10% Long and short term execution of formal scheduling, planning and coordination functions, annual turn-around and commissioning new and reconditioned equipment
10% Complete all Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities
10% Investigate and analyze asset defects and failures through cause analysis (cause mapping) and participation of SFMEA (Simplified Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), i.e. conveyors, pumps, pneumatics, drives, hydraulics, etc.
10% Ensure proper management and execution of the maintenance and asset accounting system as related to core job function. As well as conduct/coordinate formal workflow training for new and existing facility personnel
10% Repair / Expense Projects - gathers information and prepares documentation including cost estimates, preliminary engineering design and analysis. Assists in preparing project specifications, quotation requests for material requests, and project equipment. Develops schedules and monitors project budgets, costs and schedule for on-time performance.
Ability to develop and manage good working relationships with internal departments (production, sales, logistics, accounting), contractors, suppliers, inspectors and customers.
Minimum 5 years in a leadership role in maintenance or engineering in a large facility environment including process, bulk handling or manufacturing plants.
Project management skills required are scope of work definition, scope of work execution, and equipment starts up.
Knowledge and ability to identify structural defects for structures and repair schemes.
Strong knowledge of defect elimination, hazard analysis, conveying systems as well as hazard recognition affecting the safety of the facility.
Ability to take off-hour calls and rotate on call accountability with facility staff as necessary.
Ability to apply Cargill's policies and procedures in the areas of safety and environmental.
Experience and ability to manage MRO budget and capital budget. Minimum 3years experience.
Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge and aptitude.
SMRP CMRP Certification.
A Bachelor's degree degree.
Strong working knowledge in material handling or bulk handling equipment
Working knowledge of predictive maintenance technology (vibration, oil, infrared, ultrasonic analysis).
Ability to work with a wide variety of work styles including customers and co-workers at all levels.
Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Access, Project, CMMS).
Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to speak candidly and provide constructive feedback.
Supply procurement, budget preparation, scheduling experience.
Working knowledge of grain production equipment.
Ability to make independent decisions.
