A Maintenance Technician at Nautix will primarily be responsible for cleaning and maintaining pool facilities. This position requires an employee to work independently in the field and have the communication skills to accurately report the condition of each facility in a timely manner. Your job is to keep your pools crystal clear, immaculately clean and safe at all times. In order to do this, you must have a strong understanding of water balance and proper chemical adjustments and the mechanical knowledge to make minor repairs or system adjustments to run each pool properly. The job of maintenance technician requires physical stamina and a significant tolerance to the heat and humidity of summer.

Qualifications:
One year of industry related experience required
Must obtain upon hire or hold certification of Certified Pool Operator (from ASPS, NSPF or other
nationally recognized organization)
Must provide two professional references
Must have a valid driver’s license

Detailed Job Description:
At each pool visit the Maintenance Only Technician will be responsible for the following duties:
  • maintain and balance water chemistry
  • clean bathrooms
o sweep
o mop/hose/scrub floors
o squeegee wet floors
o clean toilets and urinals
o wipe down countertops and mirrors
o empty trash
o refill paper supplies
  • empty skimmer baskets
  • turn on/off fill line as needed
  • backwash filters
  • fill chlorinator
  • fill chlorinator/adjust liquid chlorinator as appropriate
  • fill out liquid calibration sheet and make adjustments as needed to equipment to ensure chlorine is at the appropriate level
  • empty and clean hair lint baskets
  • pick up trash on or around pool deck and fence line prior to blowing deck
  • blow off decks
  • pick up pool toys
  • straighten furniture
  • brush pool walls
  • empty trash
  • scrub 1-2 sides of tiles
  • skim pool
  • specific facility requests
  • pool equipment repairs as needed or approved by management
  • fill out maintenance checklist at each visit
